Let the games begin in Cooperstown!!!

We left for Cooperstown early Friday morning, June 10th, at 7am.  After a VERY long drive to New York, we arrived at our hotel about 4:45pm.   We dropped off our luggage and headed over to the family house for a catered dinner.  We love hanging out with the baseball team, everyone has a friend and everyone gets along.
The next morning was check-in for the boys and then opening ceremonies.  Casey was picked for the King of Swat competition.  He did not get any homeruns to qualify for the next round, but we were proud of him getting chosen.  He competed with 104 other boys, some who were over 6ft tall!
This trip was very much a once in a lifetime experience.  The boys were announced with a crowd over 5,000 people for opening ceremony.  I had tears in my eyes watching all these 104 teams from around the United States, from Hawaii to California to Texas to Pennsylvania, come to play in this tournament.
But my proudest moment came when Casey walked out onto the field with a number 10 on the back of his jersey.  That was my number in highschool.  When he told me he picked it for me, I was moved beyond words.
